And the Golden Tomato goes to...

Rotten Tomatoes is one of my favourite movie reviews sites. It's a site devoted to reviews, information, and news of films. The website keeps track of all of the reviews counted and the percentage of postive reviews are then tabulated (Tomatometer Percentage). Subscribing to this web feed and adding it onto my blogspot keeps me on top of things (top 5 daily box office percentages). Geeky, eh?

To sum it all up: RSS feeds my movie needs! Okay, that was cheesy - not cheesy, tomatoey! Alright, that's all for now folks, bye-bye.

YouTube - Entertainment Galore

YouTube is a great way to connect to some past and current entertainment. I watch everything from music videos (long live the 80s), live theatre and concerts, movie trailers, behind the scenes footage, bloopers, critters corner, how to videos, and the list could go on and on.

YouTube can be seen as a time waster for some but for me it's different. Calgary can be so limited in bringing big names (venue size) and I can't always travel to see my favourite artists perform live. YouTube allows me to follow my favourite artists in practically any city.

I'm also a huge broadway buff and watching Theater Talk (NYC television series) keeps me informed. Subscribing to this show is impossible and the only way I can watch this show is on YouTube. Hooray for YouTube.

YouTube is notorious for self-promotion gigs. I'm even on YouTube and not by choice and I'm not telling you. Most of it is for fun but like Facebook, I've come across a few videos and wonder. Why on earth did you do that for?

YouTube - The good, the bad and the ugly. It's out there, whether we like it or not. The good news - it's free. I like that.

To facebook or not to facebook...

Facebook is definitely a social networking website. I am more of a Facebook dabber - occassionally commenting on my friends posts and joining a few fan pages. A few of my friends are Facebook addicts and I simply cannot understand how they can keep up with their 600-700 friends?! It's a great tool to touch base with old friends and share similar interests. Being somewhat an activity oriented type of person; I like to spend less time in front of my home computer. Facebook to me is a shopping experience; sometimes you find something and sometimes you don't.

Yes, I'd like fries with that...

I decided to look up my good friend, Mr. Peters' Drive-In. Found him on Calgary Wiki. Unfortunately, this establishment only accepts cash payment; so I decided to do a bit of investigation. Apparently, there is an ATM machine across the street (7-Eleven). A great tip for people who don't carry cash. So, I added this blurb on Wiki:) Plus, my large orange slurpee goes hand and hand with my double cheeseburger and large fries. Delicious last week and delicious this week!
